Naphtha is a blending component for motor gasoline and a widely used feedstock for the downstream petrochemical plants to make ethylene and propylene. It can also be used as a feedstock for the production of hydrogen in refinery and fertilizer industry. Naphtha also finds application in power generation where it is used as a fuel. SPC has the capability to supply a full range of naphtha.

Motor Gasoline is obtained by the blending of several components from catalytic cracking, reforming, alkylation and MTBE processes. It is a widely used transportation fuel in automobiles and marine outboard motors with spark-ignition engines. Gasoline is characterised by a specific Research Octane Number (RON) rating, a measure of the knocking tendency of the automobile engines. SPC supplies unleaded motor gasoline of various grades from 92 RON to 98 RON.

Gas oil finds application in automobiles, marine boats, industrial boilers and generator sets. SPC supplies a wide range of gas oil specifications from 0.005% to 0.5% sulphur content. Committed to a cleaner environment, SPC has been retailing Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (50 ppm) to the Singapore market since 2005. SPC is currently conducting a diesel upgrading programme at its joint venture refinery to increase the 50 ppm diesel volumes to cater to the export market.

Jet Fuel, also known as Jet A-1, is used as fuel in aviation turbine engines. SPC supplies jet fuel meeting the following latest specifications: 1. United Kingdom Defence Standard (DEF STAN) 91-91/2/latest issue for Turbine Fuel, Aviation Kerosene Type 2. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D-1655 for Aviation Turbine Fuel, Kerosene Type Jet A-1 3. International Air Transport Association (IATA) Guidance Material for Aviation Turbine Fuel, Kerosene Type 4. Aviation Fuel Quality Requirements for Jointly Operated Systems (AFQRJOS) SPC has been supplying jet fuel to Changi Airport and has fuelling operations at three other airports in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Taipei. SPC is also capable of delivering jet fuel for niche military applications, used in the fighter jets and combat aircrafts.

Fuel oil is the heaviest fraction of the crude oil that remains after the extraction of the high-valued distillates. It is used mainly as fuel in industries for process heating, steam generation and power generation, and as bunker fuel for marine vessels. SPC is one of the top 20 bunker suppliers in Singapore for the year 2007.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is commonly used as a fuel for cooking and heating. It is colourless and is normally stenched at the refinery before distribution to enable detection of leakage by smell. SPC supplies bulk LPG to the domestic industrial and commercial sector through bulk delivery including provision of bullet tanks installation at customers' premises. SPC also supplies retail LPG in 12.7-kilogram and 50-kilogram cylinders.

Sulphur is used in the production of sulphuric acid, fertilisers and other agricultural purposes. SPC supplies sulphur in flake form with a guarantee in moisture content of less than 0.5% in weight. The sulphur can be shipped out of the refinery by trucks or dry cargo ships.

SPC is a major producer and exporter of asphalt (bitumen) to the Asian region and beyond, including Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, New Zealand and South Africa. Asphalt is mainly used for the paving of new roads, maintenance of existing roads as well as a waterproofing material. It can also be used for further blending into asphalt emulsion, asphalt cutbacks and polymer modified asphalt (PMA). SPC supplies two grades of asphalt, namely Penetration Grade 60/70 and Penetration Grade 80/100 in drums or in bulk via ships, ISO-tanks or trucks.
