Job Overview

This role is responsible for driving business growth within the biodiesel sector, specifically focusing on the Southeast Asia market. The Biofuels Trader will be tasked with expanding and managing a profitable book of business, leveraging market insights and an established network to develop strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of expanding and managing the book of business within the biodiesel sector, with a particular focus on the Southeast Asia market.
• Collaborate effectively with the logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless trade execution and efficient supply chain management.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis and stay abreast of industry trends to identify new business opportunities and foster strong client relationships, driving increased sales of biodiesel and feedstocks.
• Leverage and expand your existing network within Southeast Asia to secure long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships and high-value agreements.
• Manage and take full accountability for personal profit and loss (PnL), while ensuring prudent risk management and minimizing exposure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the biofuels industry, with expertise in biodiesel, fatty matter, used cooking oil (UCO), and palm oil derivatives (POME, PFAD, PME).
• Proven success in generating revenue and developing a robust book of business within the biofuel sector.
• Strong understanding of biofuel operations, including the supply chain, trade logistics, and market dynamics.
• A demonstrated track record of identifying growth opportunities and closing high-value deals.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu is highly preferred due to business needs in the Southeast Asia region.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong results-oriented mindset.
