Paper Trader

Job Overview

This role is responsible for executing paper trades of refined products to meet trading objectives and maximize returns. As a Paper Trader, you will utilize your expertise in market analysis to make informed trading decisions, monitor and evaluate trading strategies, and collaborate with the trading team to enhance overall performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute Refined Products paper trades to achieve trading objectives and maximize returns.
  • Analyze market trends, supply and demand balances, and economic indicators to make informed trading decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of trading strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records of trades, performance metrics, and market analysis.
  • Collaborate with the trading team to share insights and improve overall trading performance.
  • Stay updated with market news, regulatory changes, and economic events that may impact trading activities.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in using trading platforms and financial software.
  • Excellent understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly refined products markets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
