Cessation Of Usage Of NRIC As Identifier

As part of SPC’s commitment to complying with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) Singapore’s advisory guidelines on NRIC numbers, SPC will remove the use of partial NRIC numbers as account identifiers with effect from 1 October 2026.

From 1 October 2026, all members can no longer retrieve their membership at the cashier using his/her account identifier (DDMMYYNNN – Date Month Year of Birth and Last 3 Digits of NRIC number).

To continue enjoying a seamless membership verification process during payment, all members are strongly encouraged to register for the SPC+ App by 30 September 2026.
