Job Overview
The Operations Compliance Executive is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and compliance of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and operational compliance requirements across assigned Business Units. This role supports the establishment, maintenance, and continual improvement of safety and health management systems, ensuring alignment with company policies, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation, and regulatory requirements from MOM, NEA, and SCDF. The incumbent will conduct audits, inspections, risk reviews, and training coordination, working closely with stakeholders to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and drive a strong safety and compliance culture within operations.
Job Description:
Conduct safety reviews across Marketing Business Units (BUs) to ensure Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) processes are in place; highlight non-compliance issues and identify, recommend, and follow up on corrective measures.
Establish, implement, and maintain the Safety & Health Management System (SHMS). Assist in the development, upkeep, and maintenance of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) documentation and records in accordance with WSH legislation.
Review method statements and risk assessments in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its subsidiary legislation.
Inspect and audit workplaces to ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements. Support BUs in reviewing their risk assessments to identify foreseeable hazards and risks, and propose reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or reduce risks.
Review and update BUs’ workflow processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review, recommend, and organise appropriate HSE training programmes for staff. Conduct and prepare reports for QHSSE internal and external audits, customer site assessments, table-top exercises, and emergency drills. Closely follow up on safety actions to ensure timely rectification.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
Certified Fire Safety Manager and/or Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM will be an added advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong operational background and keen attention to detail.
Familiar with MOM, NEA, and SCDF requirements, and well-versed in HSE practices.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Management Systems, as well as local WSH and Fire Safety regulations.
Hands-on knowledge of HSE operations.
Good organisational and planning skills.
Meticulous, proactive, and attentive to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
